Well crazy has been and gone, we have 12 lambs from our ewes and 4 bottle lambs. Piper is still due but not until May 11th. So we have a bit of a break. Thelma had little Mabel a red and white calf behind the chicken coop at 6 pm just we I was going out to the eggs, she always seems to find a spot where we get a good view. Last year was the front lawn at 430 in the morning. Louise also isn't due until May, keep your fingers crossed that she has an easy birth this year and not a repeat of last year.
Planting is well underway. Darryl has 100's of seedlings growing in our bedroom and the greenhouses. Peas and radishes are planted out in the big garden and manure is slowly being moved around the property, hopefully it will end up in the rows soon so we can start prepping the beds for all the veggies starts.
We pick up the Pekin ducks next week, one of this years experiments and the first batch of meat birds will be ready mid May.
